St Bernard's are great friends. Following is a breakdown of “What to Expect” with each year in their life.

Years
o-1 Years Our little friends grow quickly their first few months they may gain 3-5 pounds per week. After 5 months their weight gain slows to an average of 2 pounds per week. St Bernards range in weight so your results may be somewhat different. This is a very active time.

1-2 Years Activity slows but only a bit. We have a father St Bernard who is 2 and puppy at 6 months. They love to wrestle and slobber all over one another.

2-4 Years If what they say about “Dog years” is true you are looking at 14 to 28. They continue to be active and enjoy indoor and outdoor activity.

5-6 Years These years are growing in to middle age. Pay closer attention to proper feeding and physical issues.

6-8 Years You may notice some slower activity but largely our experience is that a 6 to 8 year old has the same vibrance as a 2 year old.

8+ Years Take good care of your friends at this age. On average ours have made it to 10. Focus on routine exercise such as walking and follow the routine veterinarian checkups.
